The Best Beach Wedding Photography Secrets

Many Australians share happy memories of growing up and hanging out with loved ones at the beach. It is just natural on your big day a beach location be on your list as a choice for wedding photos. The pure beauty of a beach is always a certainty to deliver impressive wedding photos.

Beach wedding photography offers a relaxed atmosphere. It is easy going and everyone can enjoy a glass of champagne walking along the water’s edge.

One of the biggest issues with beach wedding photography is the light and the effect it has expressions. Too much bright sunlight in the eyes can lead to squinting and awkward expressions. At the day’s end the light is at it’s best.  A gentle sparkle on the water and on everyone. It is the best time of the day to have beach wedding photos.

Whether the clouds are rolling in making a dramatic sky or there’s never ending blue sky, a beach setting is a sure success.

When selecting a beach for your wedding photos, it can be an idea to select one with a rocky cliff at one of the ends for some shade. In Sydney I love to go to Freshwater Beach on the northwards side and Tamarama in the eastern suburbs. One of the greatest harbor beaches would be at Balmoral Beach.

During the last twenty years we have been lucky enough  to photograph weddings on beaches from the Whitsundays to Tasmania. We understand lighting and know how to get you the best wedding photos on your favourite beach. Call to discuss your photography needs particularly if you are planning a beach wedding or location shoot.
