How To Find The Wedding Photographer You Want?

How important are your wedding photos to you? If you will be happy with any happy snaps then family and friends and cameras on tables may be all you need.
For most, especially considering the planning and expense of a wedding, wedding photos are the lasting memories of the day. They must reflect the beauty and quality of the day. They must show the emotions of the wedding from all angles and capture the moments even you missed. For that you need an experienced professional wedding photographer.
Booking Your Wedding Photographer in Sydney
Book your photographer early – especially if you are choosing to mary on a popular day, time and time of year. Some wedding photographers will be booked out for peak wedding season 6 to 12 months in advance. The majority of bridal couples have booked their photographer 6 months prior to getting married.
If your wedding is only a few weeks away, don’t despair, as you might be still able to get just what you want. You won’t know until you ask.
Referrals
Referrals about wedding photographers are a great place to start. Referrals tell you about the experience not just the photos. Friends, family, forums will tell you about working with the photographer on the day. After all you don’t want to have a photographer whose interfering quest for the perfect shot ruins what should be your perfect day.
Check out their photography style, whether it’s what you want and suits you. Just because everyone likes the photographer and enjoyed working with them doesn’t mean you’ll like their work. You need to like both
Professional Memerbships
Members of the AIPP have a code of conduct they have to abide by to remain a member. You might also consider photographers who have won AIPP awards.
Research What / Who You Like
Websites, bridal magazines, bridal forums and bridal shows! Shortlist the photographers whose images you particularly like. Make some inquiries and appointments.
You work closely with your wedding photographer on an often long day. Early indications of their care shown toward you such as how quickly emails are answered, email reply, phone manner, general helpfulness can be used as a gauge to how you will find them on a long day in close proximity.
Make sure the wedding photographers you shortlist have the packages within your budget that you are looking for. if you only want a high resolution disc because you are travelling in from out of state you don’t need to bother with photographers who do have no disc only wedding photography package.
Budget
Be realistic with your budget. Below is a guide
Under $1,500 you can expect a disk with edited images on it.
From $2,500 will include an album, edited disk and a basic level of inclusions
Over $4,000 will give you a premium coverage everything you can hope for from a wedding photographer. Premium album with a substantial number of pages, edited photos on disk, wall prints and pre-wedding.
Appointment
At the photographer’s studio take the opportunity to have a good look through their wedding albums. Look for consistency, style and presentation.
When you book ensure you will be talking with the photographer, not a salesperson. Salespeople are trained to sell you the studio;s wedding photography but they won’t be your photographer and you won’t know if you will get along with them on your wedding day.
Allow an hour abut don’t feel pressured to make a decision there and then.
If you have any wedding photography or photographer questions please call or email.
